Thing's you should be ready for when you decide to modify your body

Thing's you should be ready for when you decide to modify your body

  1.  Rude comments...
Depending on how modified you are you may encounter a lot of rude comments. For example " Eww," ...."Who in their right mind would want to look like that,"....."You look like a freak,"...etc. How do you or  should you deal with that, just ignore it. What you have done with your body is a work of art and like many artist before you, you will be criticized for it.

    2. Family thinks you look ridiculous....

Point out to them that how you look is how you want to look. Your not asking for their or anyone else's acceptance. Your happy with how you look and anyone who has a problem with it can "SHUT THE FUCK UP! (2 chainz voice)

    3. Stares.....

Usually i just look away or at something else that i can draw my attention too. But if your a bolder person you can always confront them. I notice when confronted people often are at a lost for words -___-. So don't be shy to call someone out for staring you down if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

    4. Little Kids screaming or staring.....

With little kids i find it different. At least with them i know it is merely curiosity that drives them to stare or hide. And with this you should give them a little smile so that they won't grow up with the impression that all modified people are freaky psychos.

    5. People wanting to get the piercing you have.....
Being a Senior in high school I have experienced this for the past 4 years. When I first began modifying my body it started off simple a lip ring ring here, one on the other side, some angel bites, a septum, my nose, etc. Then I took most of those out for lack of commitment, and ended up keeping my lip and nose. And people would walk up to me and be like "OMG you look so cool!"..."Did those hurt?".... "Me and my friends are going to get our lips pierced this weekend because of you." Needless to say I was blown. But I shouldn't have expected as much from a flock of sheep. The good news is since they weren't really into piercing's, with in a few month's they all for some reason got rid of their piercing's.

And this girl summed up everything else you might face when you decide to modify your body

Things you shouldn't say to people with piercings.
