Skepticalyrics: "Rebel Writer"

Skepticalyrics: "Rebel Writer"

Here's an example of me not taking myself too seriously. Below you'll find lyrics I wrote which I call "Skepticalyrics." Think of this as atheist blog mixed with street poetry mixed with nerdcore. Just for fun. Happy weekend, everybody!

Skepticalyrics: "Rebel Writer"

A rebel writer resurrecting reason,
because critical thinking is always in season.

I'm a skeptic, the religious call it treason,
but all I want to know is what you base your belief in.

Like Voltron's Black Lion, I'll form the head,
dropping superstitions, using reason instead.

Faith does more harm than good, brings less peace, more pain.
That's why I'm going for the jugular vein.

History teaches that faith-based belief
makes the human mind move slower than Zangief.

See, theists love science when it gives them solutions
to the problems in life, yet they deny evolution.

But the same process, same scientific method
that took care of polio says life's naturally selected.

The same science that gave us advanced technology
also shows us the origin of species.

My mind is working faster than a kenpo combo,
taking out these cats like my name was Lion-O.

Faith infects the mind like a brain filled with cancer,
so I raise logic from the dead like a necromancer.

Because I'm a rebel writer, freedom fighter, thought igniter,
doing my part to make the whole world brighter.
