The decision to get married is the second-most important decision you can make and it requires very careful thinking and planning.

1. Time Management: the thing about time management is you have to spend a lot of time learning how to do it well. It takes more time to cultivate your scheduling habits before taking on the responsibilities of marriage. It simply takes a while to figure out your personal limits, your personal rhythm, when you need to rest, and so on.
2. Money Management: If your account is always empty before your next pay-check, you might wanna slow down and put yourself together before getting married. One thing I can tell you, is that, raising a family does not come cheap. Learn how to plan, budget, figure out what to spend on what, and how to live within your means.
3. Learn How Not To Be Selfish: Love is all about fulfilling someone else’s needs and thinking about someone else before you. In marriage, you can’t make decisions and go about relationships based on whether they fulfil your comfort and agenda.
4. Learn How To Adjust To People: You’re not gonna marry your twin. In other words, you will most likely end up with someone different from you. Learning how to adjust to different personalities and temperaments take time.
5. Learn How To Enjoy Being Single: I'm quite sure you have heard this before, but I will say it again because it’s true. You should cherish singleness as an opportunity to glorify God.
