Students are marching to the State Assembly
A handful of students of the Lagos State University, LASU, are marching to the Lagos State House of Assembly to demand the reopening of the institution.
The students are also demanding the immediate reversal of their “obnoxious” school fees hike, reopening of the examination registration portal, and democratic management of the school among others.
The students, numbering about 20, are chanting solidarity songs as they march through Agindingbi towards the Lagos House complex in Alausa.
LASU was shut on January 23 following students protest. The school authority said on Monday that the university would be re-opened on February 24.
