In recent years, tattoos have become more and more popular in different societies across the world. What used to serve tribal rituals and seamen is now a mean by which many people choose to express themselves.
Today, tattoos have many uses and meanings, and as this form of art gathers more and more fans, the decision for people who choose to adorn their body with ink, becomes more and more difficult. The variety of choices is confusing: what meaning the tattoo will have, where it will be, glowing in the dark or regular ink, letters or a drawing, and many other questions arise. Today, a design can be anything from a bible verse to a Maori tribal tattoo, any size, shape and color.
So how do you choose the design that will accompany you for the rest of your life? Something that most people don't want to consider is - how much pain will it be, getting the tattoo? A tattoo in areas of the body where the needle touches the bone will always be more painful, and that is something to consider.
A second thing to consider is the budget. The size of the tattoo determines its cost and it is not cheap, unless you know an intern willing to tattoo you for free or for a very small fee. And if you choose to have a glow in the dark tattoo the price will be higher.
And then, there is the design. Even if you know what you want your tattoo to symbolize, there's still the question of how. Will the tattoo be a drawing or an inscription? A drawing is more open to interpretation. An inscription can say exactly what you intended. Which of the two better fits? Like many other things in life, one must keep on looking until the right design is found. Remember, as long as you are not 90 years old, this design will accompany you for many years to come, so be sure of what you are getting.
