Sydney Tattoo and Body Art Expo

Sydney Tattoo and Body Art Expo

Well as the title suggests we have just been to the Sydney Tattoo Expo and what an awesome weekend we had!

We got an early flight out on Friday morning (which totally sucked- time wise) but we made it in plenty of time to set up our booth and catch up with a few peeps before Matt had to start tattooing.

Day one, first client Kasie (thanks again for the presents Kasie, your a legend)!
Horimasa, I love watching Tebori, so fascinating! One day I will get mine. I nearly got talked into it over the weekend but I need a well deserved break from tattooing for a bit :P
Ok so this girl was strung up on wires by rods through her back and arms. Apparently I am behind the 8 ball on this one and everyone else had seen it (I must live a sheltered life). Although I was totally grossed out I couldn't help but watch and take millions of snaps
The weather was absolutely glorious the whole 3 days, very lucky I think, as it had been raining a lot before we got there. This is view form our hotel room.
Matt started a leg sleeve on Joel, well done Joel who sat like a champ for some 9 odd hours!
It was really busy!
Matt and Teniele making up weird sandwiches. This one is black forest TimTam and Vovo Biscuit.
Daurma gift from our Japanese friends (Horiei and Tomoko), Thank you!
Crappiest photo's EVER but you get the idea.
After a long day of tattooing there was in the park gambling.  Matt was in bed, I was naughty and stayed out till 3:30am :P
Bit blurry but it's still a nice photo. Our lovely Japanese mates Horiei and Tomoko
Our favorite man Alvaro! They make such a cute couple don't they?
Day 3 Last job, thanks Natalie!
This will be the only photo posted of the last night, hehe. Dinner with around 50 people, this is the civilized part of the evening. Matt and I now remember why we never drink and stay out to all ours of the night! But it was so much fun that I don't even mind how crap I have felt this week!

So thanks to all the peeps who made our weekend such as blast, cannot wait till Rites of Passage in April!! Speaking of which, we are taking bookings for the event now and we are encouraging people who have ongoing work with Matt, to get tattoo at the convention. It is in Melbourne on the 27th, 28th and 29th of April, see http://ritesofpassagefestival.com/ for further details. If you want to be tattooed at the convention by Matt please email progressiontattoo@hotmail.com and stipulate what you want to get, size and placement.

I did plan on writing a hell of a lot more than this but it would seem that even this was a struggle for me this week. So that's it.
