I just watched this video at the A-Unicornist, and thought I'd offer my two cents worth...
I'm sure he doesn't know how magnets work either. How'd magnets get here? Why doesn't Mars have magnets? Can you explain that?
How does that work?
What I love about this video is that scientists ask the same damn questions O'Reilly asked, only scientists ask these questions in order to find answers, increase knowledge, and improve our understanding of the universe and ourselves. O'Reilly, on the other hand, asks these questions assuming we don't know or can't find the answers; and then, keeping true to the typical modus operandi of creationist apologetics, he blasts the "pinheads" who criticized his "tide goes in" argument with yet another argument from ignorance. Bill's god is only the sovereign lord of human ignorance, and as our ignorance decreases, so does this god's territory diminish.
